The Brown Dog Blog

Today,  a new arrival to the home of Little Brown Dogs - Suki Yuki (Beloved
Snow in Japanese) arrived!  An Australian Silky terrier and now, officially, the
smallest of the Little Brown Dogs, Suki came all the way from Missouri to join
her new family.   Suki Yuki comes to us from Stephanie Jacobson, who runs
Family Fun Kennels.  She is a sweet little angel who loves to give kisses, play
and eat giant marrow bones the size of her head (see photo).

She is fitting right in with Bella and Star and has been fully accepted into the
pack... she loves to play with Star, and already has found a place on the
family bed!

Last night Mom went before the planning board in Brownfield, Maine to get
an approval for Little Brown Dogs Grooming.  They unanimously voted yes to
approve the new business!  This is both a blessing and a curse for me,
because I know as soon as that bath tub is installed there will be many more
baths for Bella and I... on the positive side, there will lots more dogs that I can
meet and play with.  I love when Mom brings home friends for me!  I can play
for hours and hours and never get tired!

Now we just have to wait for the public meeting which will be at the
beginning of April.  That is when all of our neighbors get to come forward and
voice any concerns they have about our little shop.  Since they all have dogs,
I don't think its going to be much of a problem.

Bella and I love our new house and our favorite spot is in the shop!  It is so
sunny and light!  And its pretty big too - perfect for playing and wrestling.  I
like the wrestling bit, Bella just likes sitting in the sun...

I hope that you will all get to come over soon and see it!  Its going to be
great.

Love,
Star

Finally more room on the bed for me.

For the last two and a half weeks, I have had to share the family bed with Mom, Dad, Star, Lucy and Guido!  Can you even imagine?  I had to scrunch
way down in just a little corner!  The inhumanity of it all!  I had nearly
considered calling the ASPCA regarding these deplorable conditions - after
all, I am the Queen Alpha Princess, and it is MY bed...well, and Mom and
Dad's Bed... I suppose...  But then today my Grammy Susie came home from
the Dominican Republic and now its just us two little brown dogs in the house
again.  Life is once again wonderful.

Just for being such a good dog and sharing the bed, Mom bought us extra
special cookies from Four Your Paws Only bakery.  I got a pink cookie, and
Star got a brown cookie decorated like a doggy paw print!  I suppose one must
tolerate injustices to get life's greatest rewards!

MMMMmmmmmmm... coookies!
