Know Your Groomer
Know Your Groomer
As a pet owner and someone who has a great respect and love for
all animals, I felt it was important for current and prospective clients
to know who their pet is spending time with.
At many grooming shops you will drop off your pet and never know
the person who is caring for your best friend! At larger shops you
may even have a different groomer each time! It can be very
stressful to leave your pet with someone that you don't know and
very stressful for your pet as well.
After graduating Gould Academy in 1995, she went on to Bradford
College studying Musical Theater and vocal performance (you may
have seen her recently at the Eastern Slope Playhouse in the Arts In
Motion production of The King and I as Lady Thiang (photo), or in
Seussical the Musical as Mayzie LaBird) She also received her
SEL Private Pilot's License after studying and flying out of Fryeburg,
Airport. In 1996 she moved to California where she studied and
graduated from Chapman University with a BA in Psychology.
Moving back to the east coast, she decided to go back to her roots,
studying pet care and grooming at A+ Pet Grooming Academy in
New Gloucester, Maine.
Anna and her husband, Jason, were married on Easter Sunday of
2005 surrounded by friends and family. Bella, a little brown dog,
was their flower girl. Jason teaches American Literature at Kennett
High School and helps with dog sitting and day care.
They share their home with two little brown dogs, Bella and Star,
two cats, Kittystofeles and Nutmeg, a lop eared bunny named
Blacula, a mouse named Lenny, five pet rats named Arthur,
Mommy-rat, Blackberry, Tulip and Bramble and a fish named
Princeton. Visitors to the home and salon may also encounter Bella
and Star's dearest friends, Lucy, Jake and Guido Gugats (pictured
with Anna at the top of this page), who come over for frequent visits
and Frosty Paws (c) treats!

For me, my pets are my children - and I would never leave my children with someone I did not know anything
about! From my experience, most of the pet owners who will be taking their pets to a grooming salon feel
the same way - that is why I have put together this page!
So who is this Anna person, anyway?
Owner and Groomer Anna Mosca has been caring for pets since she could walk. She grew up in a
household with cats, dogs and other small furry critters, getting her first experience with basic grooming at
13 when she started working for a local breeder and groomer in Fryeburg, Maine.
She took her experience and knowledge with her to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter in Bridgton, Maine, where
she volunteered throughout high school.
In addition to providing volunteer grooming to the animals at the
Conway Area Humane Society, she has also created a unique Doggy
Day Spa package with Stonehurst Manor - the most popular pet friendly
lodging establishment in North Conway. Day Spa package guests are
treated to full grooming sessions, socialization and play time, as well
as gift bags to take home.
The Manor's own Mr. Bigelow (photo), a local celebrity feline, is a client!
Little Brown Dogs serves pets and their owners in

country or state of origin, sexual orientation, spayed, neutered
or intact, or any other basis. All pets are treated fairly with
love and compassion.
Go ahead, ask your dog which groomer they like better.
